A Detroit Architecture Firm Rooted in Community

Detroit is where we make our home.

We’ve led projects across the city—from restaurants and multi-family housing to cultural spaces—and remain committed to shaping Metro Detroit’s future through design, investment, and community engagement.

At Disbrow Iannuzzi, we design spaces that respond to their surroundings and serve the people who use them. Through close collaboration with our clients, we deliver thoughtful, site-specific solutions grounded in today’s needs and tomorrow’s possibilities.

Our Approach to Design

Our work is defined by compositional rigor, technical dexterity, and strong organizing ideas—grounded in open dialogue, site sensitivity, and a commitment to environmentally and ethically responsible design.

In a city as layered as Detroit, where so much of our history has been razed or forgotten, it is especially critical to breathe new life into neglected structures while continuing to create new spaces that respond to the present and look toward the future. Our team starts from this premise, grounding each project—whether adaptive reuse or new construction—in a clear vision shaped by context, conversation, and careful study.

We’ve been fortunate to work with clients across the city to reimagine what’s possible within existing spaces and to design new buildings that contribute meaningfully to Detroit’s evolving architectural story.
