Disbrow Iannuzzi Shares First Renderings of AlumniFi Field Interiors
Disbrow Iannuzzi is pleased to share the first renderings of its interior architecture for AlumniFi Field, the future home of Detroit City Football Club in southwest Detroit. Scheduled to open for the 2028 United Soccer League season, the 15,000-seat venue will become Detroit's first soccer-specific stadium.
The firm is responsible for the design of more than 170,000 square feet of interiors, including public concourses, hospitality spaces, premium club areas, and team facilities. Located on the site of the former Southwest Detroit Hospital, the project will transform a long-vacant property into a year-round destination for sporting events, concerts, and community programming. The project represents one of the most significant sports and entertainment developments currently underway in the city.
“Detroit City Football Club is a truly unique organization,” said founding partner Jon Disbrow. “It was created out of passion for the sport and passion for the city of Detroit. Through the efforts of just a few dedicated individuals, it has grown from a neighborhood soccer league to a club team with dedicated supporters and into a professional team with a 15,000-seat stadium that supports a network of youth soccer programs across southeast Michigan. We are honored to be working on such an exciting project and to be part of their evolving story.”
Founding partner David Iannuzzi added, “It is a huge privilege to be entrusted with the design of the stadium’s interior for this singular sports club. Our goal is to channel the ingenuity and passion of the DCFC faithful directly back into the fan experience. With our experience creating genuine and unique hospitality and sports environments, we are focused on creating a space that feels authentic to the city of Detroit and the spirit of Le Rouge.”
Disbrow Iannuzzi looks forward to sharing additional updates as AlumniFi Field moves through design and construction toward its anticipated Spring 2028 opening. View the renderings and read the official announcement from Detroit City FC.
