Lakeside Residence Wins 2026 AIA Detroit Honor Award
Disbrow Iannuzzi is pleased to announce that Lakeside Residence received a 2026 AIA Detroit Honor Award.
The jury, comprised of members of the Baltimore chapter of the AIA, commented that "The interplay of slate and ash is deliberate and well-executed, while the structure itself is carefully sited in the landscape for a project that is both beautiful and environmentally-conscious."
Sited on a parklike suburban lot in Birmingham, Michigan, Lakeside Residence was designed for a former gallery owner and curator of Asian art. The home draws inspiration from the family's background in the lumber industry and uses white ash and black slate as its primary materials.
