Northern Michigan, with its miles of shoreline and rich ecological complexity, offers dramatic beauty and demands a high level of care. Many of our projects are lakefront homes set on critical dunes, adjacent to wetlands, or perched along remote ridgelines. These sites introduce a heightened ecological sensitivity to both design and construction. Navigating these conditions is not just a technical challenge, but an opportunity to create work that responds meaningfully to its place.

Understanding the unique parameters of each site, such as its environmental regulations, access limitations, and terrain, is foundational to our process. We translate those conditions into a thoughtful, tailored strategy to minimize disruption and deliver contextually attuned architecture.
