Detroit Design Features Baw Beese House
Disbrow Iannuzzi Architects is pleased to share that Detroit Design has featured Baw Beese House in its Fall 2025 issue.
The article highlights the homeowner’s search for a peaceful escape within two hours of Detroit, ultimately landing on a wooded lakefront lot on Baw Beese Lake. Inspired by a “Scandi Modern” aesthetic, the client envisioned a retreat that felt serene, simple, and deeply connected to nature.
Disbrow Iannuzzi translated that vision into a clean-lined yet welcoming 4,300-square-foot home, complete with four bedrooms and a lofted mezzanine. Designed as a multigenerational retreat, the architectural plan connects multiple volumes that can also function independently—allowing the homeowner to enjoy the space alone without needing to open or heat the entire residence.
